Inspired by the scenics and opportunities derived from his worldwide travel and experiences, Al, a retired US Army Colonel and Government analyst, has painted hundreds of canvases that graphically depict the drama of international landscapes and still lifes. Using oil, acrylic, and watercolor mediums, he has consistently worked with local artists during his tours of duty in Europe, and Asia to capture the techniques, moods, and essence of the local scene. His retrospectives on German, Russian, Greek, Italian, French and Vietnamese scenics have been displayed at numerous art exhibits, galleries, education centers and US Government buildings.

During the past decade, Al has focused his attention on the color, light, and atmosphere of various landscapes and structural facades, to include flower laden windows and unique doorways. He has produced a substantial collection of paintings derived from his international travels.
